OMVS Opens Veteran Faculty/Staff Lottery for Washington Nationals Tickets

In recognition of the start of the 2023-2024 academic year, the Office of Military and Veteran Services is excited to offer a lottery for free tickets to the Washington Nationals vs. Atlanta Braves game to take place on Saturday, September 23. This lottery is open to all veteran- and military-affiliated students, faculty and staff. The lottery is currently open through 3 p.m., Wednesday, September 13, and all lottery winners will be notified by 12 p.m., Tuesday, September 19.

Thanks to another generous donation from the Washington Nationals organization and their Community Ticket Grant Program, 150 tickets were received, creating an opportunity for approximately thirty participants to attend with up to five guests. Helping OMVS students feel connected and supported in their community is vital to their success as a NOVA Nighthawk.

The Office of Military and Veteran Services continues to serve over 4,000 Veteran and Military affiliated students through certification of veteran education benefits, a monthly newsletter, community service projects, the re-establishment of a Student Veterans of America chapter, a full slate of activities during Veterans Day week and opportunities provided through the Washington Nationals Organization. The Office of Military and Veteran Services provides comprehensive resources to veterans and military related personnel who are utilizing VA and tuition assistant educational benefits.
