Next Applying the Quality Matters Rubric Workshop Begins Sept. 26
As a national quality standard for online and hybrid courses, the Quality Matters (QM) Rubric has been used by VCCS colleges and NOVA to guide online and hybrid courses to support student success. Applying the QM Rubric is Quality Matter’s flagship workshop on the QM Rubric, introducing the Rubric and its use in reviewing the design of online and hybrid courses for continuous improvement to optimize student learning. NOVA Online will offer two sessions in the fall, free for all NOVA faculty (full-time or part-time):
Applying the QM Rubric, September 26 – October 10
Applying the QM Rubric, October 17 – 31
The workshop is delivered online asynchronously so that you can learn anywhere anytime to complete assignments by the due dates. Upon successful completion of the online workshop, participants will receive a certificate from Quality Matters to show a professional background in this national standard. Since no registration cost will be refunded for dropped or incomplete participants, all participants are expected to commit to completion. You can register at GoSignMeUp by selecting Online Teaching on the navigation menu. Questions or further information? Please contact Hong Wang at hwang@nvcc.edu.
