Fall 2023 Nighthawk Creative Writer’s Nest Student Club to Begin Sept. 21

The spring 2023 Nighthawk Creative Writer’s Nest was exceptionally popular with students, so the club is again inviting students from all disciplines to join so we can work on writing across the curriculum. This is a peer-reviewed creative writing group that supports fellow club members’ writing by providing constructive critique and support without the stress of earning grades. It is an effort to emphasize the power of the written word and the importance of what it can accomplish. We will meet online and in person at least once a month as student member schedules allow.

Additionally, the club hopes to use its platform to bring LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC voices to the forefront of the narrative. Decolonizing creative writing spaces is an important endeavor in making sure that all students at NOVA feel seen and heard.
