Forum Councils Seeking to Fill Vacancies! Nominations Due 11:59 p.m.
The College Forum is our shared governance structure, which includes the College Senate and a number of forum councils. Each campus has its own forum council, and there is also a forum council for College staff (for College staff who report up through a vice president). Members of forum councils are elected during spring semester to serve a two-year term. However, for a variety of reasons, people cannot always serve out their terms, so the College Senate is required to hold a special election to fill in forum council vacancies. The College Senate launches early fall semester special elections to fill in the vacancies, so we are beginning that process.
Please feel free to nominate yourself for forum council openings if you match any of the vacancy categories. The College Forum, College Senate and forum councils operate best when every position is filled.
You can access the nomination Google form here! Click the button for your campus (or College Staff) and see if there is a vacancy for your job category (9-month faculty, classified staff, etc.). Nominations are open until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 22, and elections will take place between Wednesday, Sept. 27 and Monday, Oct. 1
PLEASE jump into the endeavor! It’s also great for APPDOs and evaluations! You BELONG on a Forum Council! We need your voice!
The College Senate Elections and Credentials Committee will supervise this effort. You can find out more about that Committee on NOVAnet.
