Be the Sunshine in Their Storm: A Title IX Webinar, Today at 11

Each year, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion hosts a Food for Thought series aimed at providing professional development opportunities for NOVA faculty and staff. This year, we are kicking off the series with our Title IX Coordinator, Laura Buchs. All NOVA employees are invited to attend this free webinar today from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. to learn more about the compassionate side of Title IX.

Most institutions of higher education (as well as K-12 schools) have a mandate to comply with Title IX. However, the spirit of the law has much more to do with the manner in which we individually fulfill our responsibilities as reporters and supporters of our students, staff and faculty.

Join Laura Buchs for a conversation about why reporting matters, the opportunity each disclosure provides to create connection and build belonging and how supportive measures and accommodations create pathways for retention and success for our students and employees.
