Bring Student Conduct to the Classroom
The Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities is available to present to your class, club or student gathering to deliver important information about the NOVA Code of Conduct.
“Know the Code” is an overview of the Student Code of Conduct. This presentation helps ensure that students are aware of their rights and responsibilities as described in the Student Code of Conduct. This presentation covers:
- NOVA’s due process
- The informal and formal hearing process
- Common violations of the code of conduct and potential consequences
- The harms and potential consequences of misusing drugs and alcohol
- NOVA PD, the Office of Wellness and Mental Health and more
Most “Know the Code” presentations last between 10 and 20 minutes so they are easy to fit into your class schedules.
If you would like to invite a member of the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities to share their knowledge about the NOVA Code of Conduct, please contact your campus coordinator below.
