Five of NOVA’s Six Campus Business Offices to Close

October 3, 2023 / General NOVA News

Autumn is a time of transformation, with the leaves changing colors and the weather beginning to cool. NOVA Finance and Administration is also making some changes this fall.

NOVA Finance and Administration is preparing for a phased closure of five of the College’s six campus business offices. This process will start in November and continue for the next 10 months. Annandale’s business office will remain open and will accept payments via cash, check, money order and cashier’s check. Alexandria’s business office will be the first to close on November 1, 2023. The closure schedule for the remaining campus business offices is as follows:

  • Manassas: November 23, 2023
  • Woodbridge: January 22, 2024
  • Loudoun: April 22, 2024
  • Medical Education Campus: August 2024

Even amid the closure of five business offices, current services will continue to be provided. We will still be able to answer questions related to holds, payments, refunds and account balances. Students simply need to call or email the business offices instead of visiting the campus offices. The contact information for each of the campus business offices, which will not change, is shown below:

As each campus business office closes, all student club funds will be processed by the parking office.

After the closures, any calls to a closed business office will be answered by NOVA’s Financial Services team. Any student who leaves a voicemail message will receive a call back within 48 hours. If a student elects to email one of the business offices, they will receive a response within 48 hours. NOVA’s Finance and Administration department remains committed to providing excellent customer service to our students.

In the coming weeks, NOVAnet will be updated to include a Financial Services page. This page will feature FAQs to help other student-facing campus offices answer any questions they may receive after each business office closes. The page will also feature a contact list and a description of all functions performed by the Office of Financial Services. This page will be updated as each business office closes to reflect any required changes.

Over the next few weeks, Bridget Johnson will be visiting each campus to meet with the different student-facing offices. During these visits, she will provide an overview of the changes and answer any questions. In the meantime, any questions regarding the reorganization can be directed to Bridget at BBJohnson@nvcc.edu or 703-323-3721.
