NOVA Faculty Member to Moderate Federal Internship Webinar, Oct. 10
In addition to serving as a full-time communications instructor at NOVA, James Steele also volunteers as the assistant director of communications with Federal Career Connection, Inc. On Tuesday, October 10, at 6:30 p.m., Steele will moderate a panel of speakers, all of whom have served as federal interns. With experiences shared at both the undergraduate and the graduate level, as well as information on the distinguished Presidential Management Fellows Program, the “First Chapters” webinar will help audience members understand how an internship can boost one’s early career, define the internship experience more clearly and share effective tips for internship searching.
Federal Career Connection, Inc., is an all-volunteer nonprofit that educates federal jobseekers on the process of applying for a federal job and and helps current federal employees mature in their careers. The organization accomplishes this through monthly webinars and ongoing blog articles. Its events are always free and open to the public. To register for the webinar, please visit Federal Career Connection’s First Chapters page.
