ORPHE Open Enrollment Runs thru October
The Open Enrollment period for participants in the Optional Retirement Plan for Higher Education (ORPHE) begins October 1 and runs through October 31.
Active ORPHE participants have a choice of two providers: DCP (VRS investment options record-kept by MissionSquare Retirement) and TIAA. Participants who wish to change investment providers can compare and select their provider in myVRS. Provider changes become effective on the first pay date in January 2024.
Employees considering changing providers are encouraged to use the ORPHE Provider Options chart to review each provider’s fees, services and plan features.
Note: The ORPHE Open Enrollment period does not allow for retirement plan changes from the ORPHE to VRS or from VRS to the ORPHE.
