CATE Presents “A Community of Practice: Teaching and Learning with AI/ChatGPT,” Oct. 18 at 6 p.m.
ChatGPT and other generative AI tools are now part of the teaching and learning process. Spellcheck and Grammarly have been around for a while and are now joined by ChatGPT. CATE will host a series to discuss the timely issues surrounding ChatGPT. Hector Revollo, interim director of learning resource services, will facilitate this series, which will be held via Zoom on the third Wednesday of each month from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. beginning Wednesday, October 18.
This workshop will explore the use of AI tools; pedagogical strategies, benefits and pitfalls; and various ethical considerations. Each meeting will discuss the outcomes of individual work on a shared tool or AI-based technology. We will learn together from our failures and our successes.
