College Computing Welcomes New Director of Customer Engagement

College Computing is pleased to welcome Adam Basinger as our new director of customer engagement. Adam comes to us with a long career in the higher education space, having served in a variety of management roles at Barnes & Noble College for more than 20 years. Most recently he served as the director of strategy and business transformation. In this role, Adam led the team tasked with developing the company’s customer engagement strategy, including the implementation of the tools and software solutions needed to positively grow the organization’s customer base. A Fairfax City resident, he holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Penn State University and a master’s in interdisciplinary studies from George Mason University. 

As the director of customer engagement, Adam will lead and direct the overall operations of the newly aligned Customer Engagement unit, which includes the IT Help Desk, IT Account Services, project management, application support and business process improvement. In this role, Adam and his team will support both new and existing technology platforms and technology-related initiatives across the College in order to enhance the faculty, staff and student experience across NOVA.
