ODU Community College Leadership Program Info Sessions, Nov. 15 and 16
Old Dominion University’s online graduate certificate in Community College Leadership is designed for emerging leaders at community colleges or administrators who have recently transitioned to a community college from careers in other industries. The certificate program also offers those interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in Community College Leadership the opportunity to “try out” doctoral-level coursework.
The program is convenient and affordable and is designed for working adults. Students take live online courses in the evenings during the fall and spring, then participate in an internship or another elective over the summer. Courses cover the following:
- Institutional finance, fundraising and resource management
- Community college politics, policy and advocacy
- Curriculum, program development and quality assurance
- Leadership and organizational strategy
The 15-credit certificate program typically takes three to four semesters to complete.
All credits earned in the graduate certificate program are “stackable” into the Ph.D. program upon admission.
Three upcoming information sessions:
- Wednesday, November 15 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m.: Manassas Campus (MP-133)
- Wednesday, November 15 from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.: Zoom
- Thursday, November 16 from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.: Annandale Campus (CA-302)
