ACCP Workshop “Compassion-202: Forgiveness” Registration Open, Nov. 13

November 2, 2023 / Events

The Annandale Center for Contemplative Practice is thrilled to announce that registration is now open for our upcoming workshop, “Compassion-202: Forgiveness.” This helpful workshop will be held via Zoom on Monday, November 13 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Forgiveness is often a challenging and, at times, seemingly impossible endeavor. In a world where injustice prevails, we have all experienced moments of suffering, betrayal and disappointment at the hands of those entrusted with our well-being. While we don’t believe that our world should be defined by pain, suffering and injustice, these experiences are unfortunately not uncommon.

The question we pose is: Who truly bears the burden when we withhold forgiveness?

This workshop will delve into this very question, guiding us in the art and practice of applied forgiveness, as an act of compassion toward both ourselves and others. Undoubtedly, forgiveness can be an arduous task–sometimes even requiring permission to grieve. However, together, we will embark on the journey of forgiveness, acknowledging its challenges and the potential for profound healing.

We would love to see you there at the event, and as always, please feel free to reach out to us at accp@nvcc.edu, or through the Questions and Comments page on the ACCP Blog.
