Student Success Fund Update

November 8, 2023 / General NOVA News

Thank you for being part of the communications efforts for the Student Success Fund. The high number of applications we received in the first 24 hours alone highlights how critical this type of emergency support is for our student body.

Most applications submitted, however, did not include the information necessary to process and move them to the review committee. While we have replied to a small number of students, the volume of applications makes it impossible to connect with each one individually.

At this time, we are pausing the process to adjust the application language and ensure clarity in the identification of the information and documentation needed to apply.

Once complete, we will reach back out to students so they may amend their application and provide the necessary documentation. Current applicants will then have 48 hours to submit a complete application. New applications will be accepted but will not be reviewed until we have processed all previously received applications.

Thank you for your patience. If you are contacted by students inquiring about the status of their application, please have them reach out to Damian Sinclair at the NOVA Foundation (DSinclair@nvcc.edu) with their questions, and he will respond as soon as he is able.
