Nighthawk Nest Thanks “Giving” Food Drive, Nov. 13 thru 17

As we look forward to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, NOVA’s Nighthawk Nest campus pantries will be accepting donations during the Thanks “Giving” Food Drive, held Monday, November 13, through Friday, November 17. Each campus pantry will collect traditional Thanksgiving food items to help those experiencing food insecurity, especially at this time of year. Students who regularly visit our pantries and those who have recently identified a food need can visit the pantries to collect pre-made bags and pick up food items. Students will be able to pick up these foods on Monday and Tuesday, November 20 and 21. Our continuous goal is to give students and their families who are experiencing food challenges the opportunity to enjoy a meal on Thanksgiving.

Collected food items will include:

• Instant mashed potatoes
• Boxed stuffing mix
• Boxed macaroni and cheese
• Canned vegetables
• Canned beans
• Canned yams
• Cranberry sauce
• Cornbread mix
• Biscuit mix
• Gravy
• Boxed and packaged desserts
