Manassas Faculty/Staff and Student Cornhole Tournament (Let’s Get Active)

November 28, 2023 / ICYMI (In Case You Missed It)

NOVA Campus Recreation and Wellness is all about engaging with students on multiple levels to enhance their overall wellness. The activities implemented by Recreation and Wellness across our campuses are designed not only to enrich our students’ social lives and physical fitness but also to give them a sense of purpose on campus alongside their academics.

On November 20, Campus Recreation hosted the Faculty/Staff and Student Cornhole Tournament on the Manassas Campus. The cornhole tournament is part of the “Nighthawk Frenzy” student engagement series, intended to create shared opportunities for NOVA faculty/staff and students to get active in a fun, friendly and competitive environment.

More than 45 students participated in the cornhole tourney, on two different teams: Green and Gold. The excitement and energy were palpable as the Gold team ultimately won the match 74-71. Manassas Provost Dr. Molly Lynch scored four points to help lead her team to victory.

NOVA Campus Recreation and Wellness activities promote camaraderie, strengthen our sense of community and support an inclusive environment. The extra rapport we build with our students through events of this type is invaluable and is encouraged collegewide. Be ready to get active and participate in the cornhole tournament when it comes to your campus!

Campus Recreation activities are open to all NOVA students, faculty and staff. Click here to learn more about recreational or virtual wellness activities.
