HR Reminder: Complete Your 2023 NOVA Mandatory Training by Dec. 22

Have you finished the 2023 NOVA Mandatory Training Course? All faculty and staff, including adjunct faculty, wage/P-14 employees, student hires and work-study students, must finalize the mandatory training in Canvas by Friday, December 22. Please plan accordingly to guarantee your completion of the course before the deadline. Failure to complete the modules (including the Final Acknowledgment module) by the deadline may result in disciplinary action for employees.

The Canvas 2023 Mandatory Training Course includes nine (9) online modules that are mandated for employees of the Commonwealth of Virginia by the Code of Virginia, Executive Order or DHRM policy. Ensuring that you follow these regulations reduces risk for the College and improves our working environment. Completing all modules will take approximately two to three hours. 

Please visit the 2023 NOVA Mandatory Training site for full instructions on registration and completion of this required training. Don’t wait until the final week to complete the training modules in case you experience system issues or an unexpected leave of absence. This will allow us to assist you and troubleshoot any issues in a timely manner.

Supervisors and managers, please monitor the training progress of your direct report(s) to ensure the mandatory training is completed by December 22. We recommend you ask your employees for their grades report from Canvas to confirm their completion.
