Sunset of Panopto Video-On-Demand (VOD) Service

The College will sunset the Panopto Video-On-Demand (VOD) service at the end of the Fall 2023 semester. This includes the retirement of the Panopto Add-In for Canvas.

The Panopto video library was reviewed by College Computing, Canvas and Educational Technology Support Services (CETSS) and the Office of Communications for activity based on total view count, recent views, publication date and academic content or historical relevance. Based on these criteria, the Office of Communications migrated public interest video content to the College’s official YouTube channel under the NOVA Historical Archive — YouTube playlist, and CETSS migrated active academic video content to Canvas Studio. Additional information about academic videos will be distributed to faculty by CETSS in the coming weeks.
