Jen Daniels Appointed as AVP of Academic Affairs
Academic Affairs is pleased to announce the appointment of Jen Daniels as the associate vice president of academic affairs. In this role, Ms. Daniels will oversee areas including curriculum development and implementation, transfer partnerships, honors and study abroad.
As a Professor of English, Ms. Daniels has nearly 20 years of experience teaching composition, creative writing and literature. Additionally, she has 15 years of experience in academic administration and leadership roles at NOVA. Prior to joining the Office of Academic Affairs, she served as the division dean of Languages, Arts and Social Sciences on the Annandale Campus as well as the pathway dean of English, ESL, ASL and, for a time, World Languages. In this capacity, she provided leadership on the implementation of multiple measures, direct enrollment and NOVA’s QEP Writing Ourselves In project. She holds an M.F.A. in poetry and an M.A. in literature from George Mason University as well as a B.A. in economics from Loyola University-New Orleans. She looks forward to applying her creative mindset to find ways to support faculty and staff in the development of innovative curriculum and programs.
Please join me in congratulating AVP Daniels on her new position.
