Maintain healthy habits. A short workout in the morning will help decision-making all day. Eat healthy snacks like fresh fruit or vegetables. Say no. With holiday commitments< it is okay to say no. Share your to-do list with others. Create relaxing surroundings. Music, candles and natural light will boost your mood!. Top right. Practice self care. Prioritize your plans. Find the right balance between getting out and slower days at home. Prioritize so you are only committing to what will bring you joy. Take care of your physical self. Show your body some love, too. Skin and hair suffer during the winter, so nourish yourself physically. Manage time on digital devices. Choose times to unplug and read a book, enjoy a soothing bath, etc. Lower left: Practice gratitude. Say thank you for what's good in your life. Share feelings. A holiday after a loss in the family can be difficult. Accept your feelings and open up about them to others. Try to switch up old traditions to ease the loss. Take a break. Don't forget about your own needs. Take a nap, go for a short walk, read a book or watch a funny movie. Even a little break and a few deep breaths can reduce stress levels. Lower right. Enjoy small pleasures. Whether it's a candle, a cozy blanket, a hot drink in your favorite mug or listening to a curated playlist, boost your well-being with simple pleasures. Holidays should be a fun, enjoyable time with friends and family. Enjoy it, planwhat needs planning and let go of the rest. Focus on what you value and find most sustaining this time of year. Happy holidays! CommonHealth logo with rainbow swoop.
