NOVA Police Training Officer Graduates from the Police Academy

December 15, 2023 / Faculty/Staff Highlights

On Monday, December 11, NOVA Police Training Officer Cherrelle Rowe graduated from the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy in Ashburn, where she completed an extensive basic law enforcement course. For the past five months, Officer Rowe has been trained in criminal investigations, legal, patrol, skills and other aspects of policing. Officer Rowe excelled while at the academy, performing extraordinarily well both academically and physically and finishing third place in the fitness category among all female trainees.

Officer Rowe will now start the second phase of her training, which incorporates both on-the-job and field training. Upon completion of the latter, Officer Rowe will be cleared for solo patrol status and officially certified as a law enforcement officer.

This video highlights what Officer Rowe and her fellow trainees had to endure while at the police academy.

Please help us congratulate Officer Rowe on a job well done!
