January 5, 2024 / Get Well

Virginia’s Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) offers a variety of resources to help you plan for your future — and your present. For more information on financial education offerings and other tools provided by Virginia’s DHRM, please check out the following excerpts from January’s financial wellness newsletter.

The DHRM Employee Financial Wellness Program continues to provide resources to help you achieve financial independence, as your financial wellness remains a priority in 2024.

New for 2024!

  • The DHRM Employee Financial Wellness Program will include financial educational videos, articles and quotes to assist you on your financial wellness journey.
  • “All About That Money” Tuesdays: We plan to offer virtual workshops on a monthly basis, starting in late spring, covering a variety of financial wellness topics. These workshops will be hosted by experts in their field, among them financial wellness, wealth growing, and retirement planning! Presenters will provide professional advice specific to their field on how you can adapt to disruptions caused by unexpected challenges. The workshops will be 30 to 45 minutes long, so stay tuned for more information.

Two small wooden figurines of people sit atop a light-colored table next to a large money bag. The bag, which is cinched at the top, appears to the right of the figurines and is emblazoned with a green U.S. dollar symbol. Blurred greenery appears in the background.
