Federal Work-Study Students Now Eligible for SDV-298 Scholarships

Thanks to a generous grant from SCHEV, scholarships are now available for up to 15 Federal Work-Study students to take SDV-298 for FREE during spring 2024!

Students with substantial work experience that aligns with the learning objectives of a NOVA course may take SDV-298 and learn how to potentially receive college credit for that work experience through a portfolio evaluation process. This scholarship covers both the tuition for the 1-credit SDV-298 course and the $175 portfolio evaluation fee for Federal Work-Study students.

Federal Work-Study students who are working during Spring 2024 may email Clint Young, the College Work-Study Coordinator, at JCYoung@nvcc.edu if they are interested in receiving a scholarship for SDV-298. They should also email NOVA’s Credit for Prior Learning program at CPL@nvcc.edu to request permission to enroll in the course.
