NOVA Welcomes New Interim Title IX Coordinator
NOVA is pleased to welcome Dr. Johnetta Banks as our interim Title IX coordinator.
Dr. Banks joins NOVA as a consultant from Grand River Solutions, a nationally respected firm that specializes in providing higher education institutions with interim support for their various Title IX needs.
Dr. Banks comes to NOVA with 14 years of experience, having served in many different roles, including as Title IX Coordinator; Coordinator of Equity, Inclusion and Title IX; Director of Accessibility; Assistant Dean of Criminal Justice; and ADA Coordinator. She earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in criminal justice, as well as a Master of Arts in teaching in social science, from Grambling State University. She also holds a Doctor of Education in administrative leadership; a Master of Science in human resources management; and a certificate in higher education leadership, management and policy from Walden University.
As NOVA’s Interim Title IX Coordinator, Dr. Banks will respond to all Title IX incident reports and work to ensure NOVA is in compliance with federal Title IX policies.
