President’s Report 2023 Shines an Inspiring Spotlight on NOVA Successes 

Earlier this month, the communications team released the newest edition of the President’s Report for 2023. This engaging publication looks back on the past year to celebrate all that our faculty, staff and students have accomplished across the College.

The report demonstrates how we live out our mission of providing equitable and affordable access to exceptional higher education and workforce programs. Our students come to NOVA with goals that represent the full diversity of our community: transferring to four-year colleges or universities; earning a degree connected to high-demand industries; reskilling for a new career; gaining valuable college credits while still in high school or while in active military service. Each, regardless of what led them to NOVA, is reaching for success and achieving it because of their intelligence, drive and resilience — and your dedication.

Reflecting NOVA’s strategic plan, Inspiring Excellence: A Bold Blueprint for Student Success, the President’s Report is exactly that — inspiring. Each student story inspires us to continue our important work in service to these talented students who are poised to make their mark on the world and to make it a better place. The powerful stories of students like Mildred, Bobbie and Rayshaia Waller — family members who recently graduated from NOVA, and Solange Francis, who looks forward to her graduation this May. Every one of our NOVA Nighthawks has a unique path to and through our College, but all have the same goal: a brighter, stronger and bolder future.
