Save the Dates: Monthly Walks in the Woods & Summer–Fall Backpacking
Join Professor Indigo Eriksen (ENG-WO) for a monthly hike or a backpacking trip! Applications for backpacking will open in February. To sign up for a monthly hike, click here.
These adventures are sponsored by the Woodbridge Office of Student Life, a NOVA DEI Innovation Grant and private donations. Meet at the trailhead or ride in the van (space is limited). Hikes range in difficulty — see descriptions below. Please note: Indigo’s dogs Luna and Spruce will accompany us on the trips.
Things to know:
- If you are riding in the van, please plan to meet in the WAS Lobby on the Woodbridge Campus by 8:30 a.m.
- Wear comfortable clothing (layers work best) and comfortable walking shoes. Hiking boots with ankle support are recommended but not required.
- Bring a backpack with the following items:
- Snacks
- 2–3 liters of water
- Raincoat
- Notebook and pens/pencils
- Trekking poles (optional)
- Anything else you would like to carry with you
Be sure to save the dates for our upcoming adventures! If you have any questions, please email Indigo at IEriksen@nvcc.edu.
