2023 W-2 Available Now

The Commonwealth has posted on the Cardinal website that W-2s for state employees who receive paychecks from the Cardinal system are now available online. There is also a link to a job aid to guide you through the process.

To access your W-2, log into Cardinal (my.cardinal.virginia.gov) and follow these steps:

1. Enter your User ID and Password
2. Click the Sign-In button
3. Once the portal welcome page displays, click on the Human Capital Management (HCM) link
4. Click on the Payroll tile to open the page with your W-2/W-2c information
5. Click on W-2/W-2c
6. Click on View W-2/W-2c Forms
7. Select the form you want to view as a PDF. The form can be printed or saved as a file.

Paper W-2/W-2c Forms were mailed on January 26, 2024.
