Spring 2024 Financial Aid Disbursements and Refunds

Most financial aid for Spring 2024 has disbursed for eligible NOVA students who have attended at least 6 required credits past the course census date. If a student has holds or incomplete To-Do List items on their myNOVA Student Information System (SIS) account, disbursement may be prevented.   

As a reminder, students may review the financial aid offered to them in their myNOVA SIS account under View Financial Aid. Once financial aid disburses, it reduces the outstanding charges shown in SIS under Account Inquiry. If the amount of financial aid disbursed to a student’s account exceeds the student’s charges, the student can expect to receive a refund for the excess spring semester aid during the first week of March 2024. 

Students who have not already done so should consider designating direct deposit as their preferred delivery method for any future refunds. Direct deposit is the fastest delivery method. The default delivery method — sending a check to the student’s mailing address — can take 10 to 14 days. More information on financial aid disbursements and refunds is available here.
