Awarding of Summer 2024 Financial Aid

NOVA’s Financial Aid Office plans to award financial aid for Summer 2024 by the second week of April to eligible students who have submitted the 2023–24 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to NOVA and who have no incomplete items on their myNOVA To-Do List. Students must meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements to receive summer aid.

If students are not eligible for financial aid grants, they must enroll in at least six eligible credits to potentially be offered a Direct Loan for Summer 2024. Also, students who received a Pell Grant for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 based on full-time enrollment each term must take at least six eligible credits in Summer 2024 to potentially receive a summer Pell Grant.

The payment deadline for Summer 2024 is May 2 for students who enroll through May 1. Once students are awarded financial aid for Summer 2024 in April, they should review their pending financial aid based on their summer enrollment to ensure it’s enough to cover their summer tuition by the payment deadline. Other payment options include the payment plan.
