Nominations Now Open for Forum Council Positions!

Please nominate yourself to serve on a Forum Council for your campus (or for College Staff)!

The Forum Councils have done important work over the years supporting our students, recognizing our faculty and staff, and making our College a friendly, safe and efficient place to work and study. Getting involved is a wonderful way to learn about and contribute to your campus and College. Note that Campus Forum representation is based on primary work location, not reporting lines.

Forum FAQs: 

What is the term of office?

  • The term of office is two years.

What is the time commitment?

  • Forums meet monthly from September through April. Each Forum sets its own meeting day and time based on member availability.

How do I become a College Senator?

  • The Forum Councils elect senators to the College Senate for one-year terms. As a member of your campus’s Forum Council, you may be elected to a senatorial seat.

I report to a central unit. Which Forum do I choose?

  • Faculty and staff who report to central College units can now run for election at their primary work location. Advisors, librarians, IET faculty, financial aid, IT, parking, police, etc., can represent the campus they call “home.” For those located at a central administrative office (Brault, Pender or Pitney Bowes), the College Staff Forum Council is your representative body.  

Steps to nominate yourself:

  1. Click here to nominate yourself by selecting the correct campus (or College Staff).
  2. On the next page, enter your name in the category for which you qualify.
  3. Hit NEXT, then write a statement of 50–100 words that you’d like to share with voters.  

Nominations will be open until 5 p.m., Friday, March 8. Elections will occur from Monday, March 18, through Thursday, March 21.
