NOVA PD Runs Successful Campuswide REVIVE! Opioid Overdose Response Trainings

The NOVA Police Department recently completed its first series of REVIVE! opioid overdose and naloxone education trainings for the NOVA community. If you weren’t able to attend a session, keep an eye out for additional REVIVE! trainings in the future; we plan to have offer more courses at both on-campus and off-campus locations later this year.

NOVA PD would like to thank everyone who signed up and completed this important training over the past few weeks. Attendees are now better equipped to serve their community in an emergency situation.

If you have questions about the REVIVE! training or others, please reach out to Lieutenant Tony Ong at TOng2@nvcc.edu.

Participants in the REVIVE! training class at NOVA's Loudoun Campus pose for a photo in front of a screen at the front of a classroom. The projected slide reads as follows: "REVIVE! Virginia's Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education Program. Lay Rescuer Training, Updated February 2022."

Pictured, from left to right, are Jeff Vetrano, Tiffany Blackmon, Saleha Bholat, Lisa Stelle, Lisa Fukui, Maddie Quick, Aja Adu-Gyamfi, Tori Rodriguez and Chola Chhetri.
