AAPI Center & NOVA Clay Club to Host Hawaiian Artist Ramon Camarillo, Today at 1
Join the AAPI Center and NOVA’s Clay Club in hosting Hawaiian artist and musician Ramon Camarillo. This event will be held today from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the AAPI Intercultural Resource Center on the Annandale Campus (CA-302).
Camarillo will present on the origins and practice of raku pottery, sharing his own artwork and discussing his Pacific Islander identity. In addition to his artistic presentation, Camarillo will also give a ukelele performance, which will be accompanied by a traditional hula dance performed by his wife, Kamaka.
