Learn About Using the Metaverse to Enhance Your Course, Today at 3:30
Are you looking for alternative ways to engage your students? Virtual worlds provide an immersive 3D environment that many instructors in higher education are using with their students as an exciting teaching tool. Join us today, April 11, at 3:30 p.m. for a workshop that explores the virtual world of Second Life (SL). Register here!
The platform, which isn’t new, has in fact consistently improved educational experiences. NOVA’s dedicated region alone has more than 20 educational activities to enhance student learning for biology, geology, language, healthcare, art and more! Several NOVA instructors who use the platform will be on hand during the webinar to share their experiences and answer your questions. Help is available via tutorials, handouts and videos, as well as a thriving virtual education community. Click here for a list of NOVAs SL resources.
This session will include opportunities for discovering regions and activities that you choose. Just indicate your interests or disciplines when you register for the workshop and those will be highlighted. Imagine exploring an interactive Globe Theater set in Shakespearean England or visiting the Louvre Museum in Paris. Fully participate in a hands-on experiment in a chemistry lab or even navigate a giant model of an ear! Students can explore a variety of disciplines and even access virtual libraries complete with live help — all at any time or from any place.
