STEAM Outreach Introduces Local Students to NOVA!

Annandale science professors Dr. Ben Wang, associate dean of MSTB, and Dr. Karen Bushaw-Newton participated in Wakefield Forest Elementary’s annual STEAM Fair on Thursday, April 11. While Ben fascinated kids and their parents with cool science facts, Karen showed kids how to play “the immunity game,” teaching them about herd immunity. The modules were well-received, and many people asked to know more about NOVA.
