Provide Feedback on NOVA’s Academic Master Plan Draft by COB Today!
Academic Affairs is excited to introduce the draft of the three-year Academic Master Plan, which is the result of extensive listening sessions across all six campuses and via Zoom; a co-facilitated Lab Summit with Finance & Administration; and consultation with provosts, deans and other key College stakeholders.
The Academic Master Plan aligns with NOVA’s Mission and Strategic Plan and with the Virginia Community College System’s Opportunity 2030 goals. It proposes a strategic framework that puts student learning at the center, empowering students to become active participants in an increasingly diverse regional and global workforce. The plan focuses on two overarching aspirations infused with the spirit of innovation:
- Improving authentic learning and success rates, including retention, course completion, graduation and transfer rates for students from every race, ethnicity, gender and socioeconomic group.
- Aligning and adapting our curriculum and facilities to prepare our students for the evolving global workforce.
As valued members of the NOVA community, your feedback is crucial to the success of this Academic Master Plan. Academic Affairs kindly requests that you review the plan (you may need to use your Outlook credentials to view it) and provide your feedback in this survey by TODAY, April 30. Please note that global feedback is being collected anonymously. If you see typos or other errors, you are welcome to send those directly to AVP Jen Daniels at JDaniels@nvcc.edu.
Your insights will help shape the final version of the plan and contribute to its effective implementation. Together, we can embrace innovation and build a legacy that empowers students to achieve their full potential, drives economic growth in the region and serves as a model of success nationwide.
