Faculty, Have Your Students Complete the First Destination Survey
The First Destination Survey (FDS) seeks to measure employment outcomes among college graduates within six months of their graduation. Survey results will yield trend data over time to inform evidence-based discussions about the impact and value of earning a degree at NOVA.
Benefits to NOVA:
- Captures data to help inform and improve career services
- Provides real-time insight to faculty
- Supports programs to better prepare students for the future
- Empowers faculty and staff to be advocates for student success
Benefits to Students:
- Highlights and celebrates positive employment outcomes
- Informs future graduates of the value of their degree
- Exposes current students to potential career paths
The online survey is quick and easy to complete. Students can access the survey through Career Connection, on the Symplicity mobile app (available through the Google Play Store and the Apple Store), or through this external link.
Please encourage graduates in your classes and who you work with to complete the survey and update their employment outcomes as soon as possible. The survey closes on Sunday, September 1.
Do you have a question about the FDS? Feel free to ask it here.
