NOVA Police Thank NOVA, Surrounding Community for Participating in Drug Take Back Event

On Saturday, April 27, the NOVA Police Department joined law enforcement agencies across the country in collecting and disposing of unused and expired prescription drugs in their communities. The “Take Back Day” was part of a larger initiative run by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

NOVA PD would like to thank everyone who came out and participated in the event. Both the College and the broader community did their part by turning in unneeded and expired medication, removing them from accessible areas where they could do potential harm. All in all, NOVA PD collected 14 pounds of prescription drugs that can now be disposed of properly.
