New Dispatcher Joins NOVA PD

May 2, 2024 / Faculty/Staff Highlights

NOVA Police has a new dispatcher! Dispatcher Sahar Baluch joined the NOVA Police Department on February 23, 2024. Sahar then attended and completed an extensive Basic Dispatcher School at the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy, where she received 80 hours of training on interpersonal communications, radio and telephone operating procedures, legal concerns and emergency planning. After graduating from Basic Dispatch School on April 26, Sahar is poised to start her on-the-job field training; upon completion of field training, she’ll be certified as a dispatcher.

Please join NOVA PD in welcoming Sahar to the public safety team!
