May Is Military Appreciation Month
In May, we observe several significant occasions, including Mental Health Month, Mother’s Day and Military Appreciation Month. Northern Virginia is known for being steeped in military history and still has a large military presence. NOVA’s Office of Employee Wellness and Wellbeing would like to show its appreciation for our colleagues who are currently serving, veterans who have served and any military spouses. We thank you and your families for your dedicated service and sacrifice to ensure the safety of our nation. Your contributions make a lasting impact, and we salute you!
- Vets, did you know that you may qualify for a TriCare Supplemental plan? Visit DHRM to learn more!
- Show your appreciation for our military colleagues by sending a NOVAfy. It’s a quick and easy way to let them know how valuable they are to the NOVA community.
- Celebrate the military through music at the Alexandria Campus with these upcoming concerts:
- The U.S. Army Orchestra on Friday, May 17, at 7:30 p.m.
- The Virginia Grand Military Band on Saturday, May 25, at 2:45 p.m.
