Welcome Alexandria’s New Associate Dean of Student Success!
It is with great excitement that we announce the Alexandria Campus’s new associate dean of student success (ADOSS), Mr. Vinh Nguyen!
Vinh has more than 13 years of experience in higher education. After starting his college education at NOVA, he went on to earn both his Bachelor of Arts in art and visual technology and his Master of Education in counseling and development from George Mason University.
Vinh has held various roles at NOVA, including education support specialist, retention advisor for the Pathway to the Baccalaureate program at the Annandale Campus, and counselor at the Alexandria Campus. Over the past year and a half, Vinh has worn multiple hats to fill various voids within the Alexandria Campus Student Success Division and the college at-large with our academic probation student population. He also currently serves on the SDV Canvas Redesign Committee and even volunteered to represent Alexandria at collegewide ADOSS meetings while the position was vacant.
Vinh jumped right into the ADOSS role on May 10. We are excited to see him continue to expand his Navigate, SIS, project management, case management and many other skills within our division, campus and college.
