NOVA Police, DCJS to Offer “Investigation Skills & Report Writing for Higher Ed,” June 5 & 6

The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to announce that it will host a two-day training: “Investigation Skills and Report Writing for Higher Education.”

This course, held June 5 and 6, will focus on improving interviewing techniques and post-interview tasks such as credibility assessment, information synthesis and clear report writing. Participants will review a sample investigation report to guide their understanding of report writing mechanics, format and structure. Additionally, registrants will engage in various interactive learning activities to practice their skills and receive feedback from ATIXA’s experts.

Who Should Attend?
This course is designed for Virginia Title IX coordinators, Title IX and civil rights investigators, campus law enforcement and campus security officers, hearing/process advisors, hearing facilitators, hearing chairs, decisionmakers, hearing panelists, appeals officers, human resources professionals, student conduct professionals, and compliance and risk management professionals.
