Welcome NOVA’s New Title IX Coordinator, Rahma Kohin

We are excited to announce the appointment of Ms. Rahma Kohin as NOVA’s new Title IX Coordinator.

Rahma joins us from the University of California, Merced, where she excelled as a Case Manager and Conduct Officer providing support to students in a variety of areas, including Title IX matters. Rahma holds an M.S. in Educational Leadership from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Certificate in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida. She is fully trained as a Title IX Coordinator via Grand River Solutions. 

As NOVA’s Title IX Coordinator, Rahma will oversee all Title IX incident reports, offer training and professional development on Title IX matters of compliance, and support members of our community while also ensuring NOVA is in compliance with federal Title IX policies, including new Title IX regulations scheduled to be in place on August 1, 2024.

Dr. Johnetta Banks, who previously served as the College’s Interim Title IX Coordinator, will transition to Deputy Title IX Coordinator and continue to use her extensive experience in supporting the Title IX Office.
