NOVA Corps Seeks Paid Student Interns for Fall! Apply by COB Today
NOVA Corps, a paid student internship program through the Office of Student Affairs, is recruiting current students to help prospective, new and current students start and finish strong at NOVA. The mission of NOVA Corps is to develop students’ professional skills for jobs after college while providing peer-to-peer support.
General description: Student interns perform a variety of customer service duties in support of NOVA’s educational programs.
Duties and tasks: Provide general information to students on a variety of programs, activities and procedures related to admissions, enrollment, college programs and activities, primarily in person (face to face), as well as via phone, email and/or online chat. Information provided includes admission application, registration and general financial aid processes, assistance in navigating the Student Information System (SIS) and Canvas, assistance with campus tours, virtual lobby, new student orientation, etc.
Essential functions: Provide courteous, friendly and knowledgeable service to students. Provide clear, consistent, up-to-date and accurate information. Attend team meetings, read emails and College website, and utilize current job aids.
Note: Four-day onsite training located in Fairfax is mandatory.
