NOVA Libraries to Host National Library of Medicine Traveling Exhibit thru Aug. 9
Did you know that in the late 20th century, it was nurses who led the fight on behalf of victims of domestic violence and worked to improve the lives of battered women? They worked tirelessly to reform the medical profession that was historically dismissive of domestic violence claims.
NOVA Libraries is hosting the National Library of Medicine traveling exhibit, Confronting Violence: Improving Women’s Lives (Enfrentando La Violencia: Mejorando la vida de las mujeres). The exhibit will travel throughout the College, stopping at all six campuses from June 24 through August 9. Library hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Learn more about the topic and the exhibit with this online guide.
