Sen. Mark Warner, Asst. Secretary of State Rena Bitter Attend “Passport Day” at NOVA

On Wednesday, June 26, a team from the Washington Passport Agency hosted a “Passport Day” in the Ernst Community Cultural Center gym on the Annandale Campus. At the invitation of U.S. Senator Mark Warner (Va.), more than 300 individuals met one-on-one with State Department officials to review their passport applications and supporting documents. NOVA President Anne M. Kress, Sen. Warner and Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Rena Bitter greeted attendees. Attendees were grateful for the opportunity and the event was an overwhelming success. Warner plans to replicate Passport Day across the state.
