Welcome NOVA’s New Associate Director of Federal Relations
We are thrilled to announce Amanda Wilder as NOVA’s new associate director of federal relations. With nearly a decade of experience in higher education as a counselor guiding students from high school through NOVA graduation, Amanda has demonstrated a deep understanding of our institution and a proven ability to foster strong partnerships with faculty and staff.
Over the past year, in her role as interim associate director of federal relations, Amanda effectively leveraged her knowledge of NOVA and its student body to advocate effectively for the college. She played a pivotal role in advancing legislative priorities, built partnerships with federal and state officials, collaborated on policy initiatives and successfully navigated Congressionally Directed Funding proposals through subcommittee appropriations.
Amanda earned her master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Texas) and holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Rhodes College (Tennessee).
We warmly welcome Amanda as a permanent member of our Government Affairs team and look forward to her continued advocacy for NOVA.
