Free Caregiver Webinar Series, Third Session Today
Caregivers provide essential support to family members, friends and partners who need assistance due to illness, aging or disability. Their hard work and dedication ensure that loved ones can maintain their quality of life. Caregiving is more than a part-time job, though — it’s a 24/7 commitment.
Caregiving certainly has its challenges, including burnout, physical demands and lost work hours. Kaiser Permanente has put together a four-part webinar series on caregiving. Anyone can attend regardless of whether they are a Kaiser member or not. The sessions are Thursdays through August 1 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The sessions include:
- Caregiving in the Sandwich Generation: Discuss caregiver challenges and explore resources available to assist in the demands of caregiving. Now available on demand.
- Owning Your Time as a Caregiver: Learn 10 practical tips to balance caregiving with your other responsibilities and lessen stress. Now available on demand.
- Coping With Caregiving: Learn ways to overcome caregiver burnout and take care of yourself while also taking care of others. (Today!)
- A Mindful Approach to Caregiving: Increase body awareness, share gratitude and practice mindful meditation in this guided session.
Participation in all four classes are not required but is highly recommended.
