OSI Welcomes Newest Team Member, Melanie Jenkins
Welcome to Melanie Jenkins, our new director of data analytics. Melanie is the newest member of the Office of Strategic Insights (OSI) team and returns to NOVA after time away. She most recently served as the director of the office of institutional effectiveness at the University of Richmond, where she was focused on developing appropriate and effective institutional reporting, evaluation and assessment. She also served as associate provost for institutional research and assessment at Suffolk University in Suffolk, Mass. and assistant director in the office of institutional research at Tufts University in Boston. She started her institutional research career at NOVA as a statistical analyst in what was then the Office of Institutional Research.
A veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, she has a bachelor’s degree from Christopher Newport University and a master’s from Tufts University. She is a Leadership Metro Richmond graduate and an AIR LEADS graduate.
Melanie has a gorgeous dog, an Australian Kelpie, from St. Croix. For fun, she loves to learn new languages, enjoy comedy shows and attend outdoor music festivals. You can find her in the Brault Building. Welcome, Melanie!
