Important Update on Enrollment Cancellation

Beginning in fall 2024, NOVA is adopting a new process for the late enrollment of students who are dropped for nonpayment through the enrollment cancellation process. This change reinforces NOVA’s alignment with existing VCCS policy on the issue (8.3.2 Census Dates and Registration Periods).

Going forward, students dropped for nonpayment after the “Last Day to Add/Drop” will not be eligible for late enrollment, except in the case of a documented college error. This holds true even in cases in which the student has been attending a class and completing coursework.

The purpose of this change is to protect students from accruing debts to the college when they are unable to pay. We ask that all faculty and staff convey to students the critical importance of paying for their courses.
