The Daily Flyer Is Daily Again!

Welcome back to the 2024–25 academic year! The Daily Flyer has returned to daily, and we are happy to be back! Please make it a habit to read regularly. We want to use this newsletter to share all the great opportunities for faculty and staff. And, it is a place to celebrate YOU, the ones who make it happen here at NOVA. This is a publication for and about you! We also include articles relevant to students so faculty and staff can share important information that students need to know.

How to Submit a Story
To submit a story for consideration, just scroll to the bottom of any issue of the Daily Flyer and click the “Submit a Story” button. This will open up another window, where you can enter your name and email address and then plug in your story. The form will accept only one photo per story. If you wish to submit more (not more than a total of three, please), you may send them to dailyflyer@nvcc.edu. Please ensure you have signed releases for students or other non-NOVA people depicted in your photos. It is not necessary to send the releases to the Daily Flyer staff, but you do need to be able to produce them if asked.

Please add “Submitted by” information at the end of your story that includes your name, job title and email address. Once you hit submit, the story goes right into our WordPress draft folder for consideration for an upcoming issue.

Submission Deadline
Articles should be submitted by 12 p.m. on the day before you would like to see them run. Please understand that we try to limit the number of stories we run to keep the issue readable. Each story will be reviewed, edited and then scheduled into a future edition based on availability and the timeliness of the piece.

We really want to keep the Daily Flyer fresh and interesting. To do that, we need you, our boots on the ground, our folks in the field, to inform us of your great stories and ideas and let us know what is happening out there.
